Meaning: Abbreviation for Negotiable Retail Price.
Pronunciation: En-ar-pee.
Usage: The Burma Bazaar chap quoted an NRP of Rs. 120 for the DVD.
Root: Haggling is so common in bazaars across India. While the branded goods are sold at MRP (Maximum Retail Price), there is no fixed rate for commodities. Whatever the final price, the seller always judges the customer and makes a first quote, this is what I've called the NRP (Negotiable Retail Price).
